Sophie Clara Banasiak nee Wroblicky age 94. Long time resident of Matteson (Timber Ridge Estates) and Harvey, born and raised in Pheonix/Ascension Parish. Graduate of Thornton Twp. High School Class of 1941. Retired Retail Clerk for Jo-Ann Fabrics in South Holland and Matteson. Wife of the late Walter M. Banasiak. Mother of Susan (David) Bartock, Mary Beth (Joseph) LaBanca, Joseph (late Deborah), John (Carol), James (Rosemarie) and the late baby Walter M. Banasiak II. Devoted "Busia" to her 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Nestor, Raymond, Emil, and Stephen Wroblicky. Dear aunt and a loving friend who touched the lives of so many. Visitation will be on Sunday July 30th from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Olen Mortuary of Harvey, 15700 S. Emerald Ave., Harvey, IL (708-331-0654). Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 31, 2017 from 8:15 AM to 9:30 AM, prayers from chapel at 9:30 for 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, 15746 Union Ave. Harvey, IL. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery of Calumet City.
