Rita A. Klimala, (nee Charlebois), 94, of Harvey, IL. , formally of Canada passed away July 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Rita was retired from the City of Harvey. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary PLAV post 39 of Harvey and a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Church. Survived by her loving children daughter Terri (Jimmy) Meeks; sons, David (Renee), John, and Donald Klimala; cherished grandchildren, Angela (Steve) Smit, Erica (Kenny) Firlit, Ben, and Jenna Klimala; dearest great-grandchildren Alexis, Madeline, Brayden, Tanner, Brooklyn, and Avery and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her loving husband John C. Klimala of 58 years, parents Hermidas and Aurore Charlebois; sisters Eva Damphousse, Bertha St. Jacques, Cecile Paquette, brothers Eugene, Honorius, Hormidas, Edouard Charlebois.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church of Harvey with a Funeral Mass immediately following. Interment will be private. Rita will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
