Heidi K. Anselmo, a cherished soul from Chicago Heights, Illinois, and formerly of Harvey, passed away on March 16, 2026. Born on July 12, 1969, Heidi’s life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved and cared for.

A woman of many gifts, Heidi found joy and solace in art and crafts, often creating heartfelt gifts for friends and family. Her creative spirit was matched by her professional commitment as a salesperson at 84 Lumber Company, where she worked diligently and made lasting connections with colleagues and customers alike.

Heidi’s heart was as expansive as her faith. Deeply religious and spiritual, she embraced a belief that guided her daily life and interactions. She had a special compassion for those experiencing trauma, offering a listening ear and comforting words to those in need. Her open heart and thoughtful nature were hallmarks of her character, reflecting a genuine desire to uplift and support others.

An avid animal lover, Heidi cared deeply for their safety and well-being, especially making sure they were fed and nurtured. This love for life’s innocent creatures was a beautiful extension of her nurturing spirit. Heidi treasured spending time with her close friends, affectionately calling them family, forging bonds that brought warmth and meaning to her days.

Family, faith, friends, and a boundless capacity for kindness defined Heidi K. Anselmo’s journey on this earth—a journey that touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark of love and generosity.

Visitation for Heidi will be held on March 27, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Olen Funeral Home of Harvey, located at 15700 S. Emerald Ave., Harvey, Illinois 60426. Funeral Service will follow at Chapel on March 28, beginning on Saturday March 28, at 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM. Prayer Service to commence at 9:30 AM for 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at Lord of Mercy Catholic Church, 15746 Union Ave., Harvey, IL 60426. (Church Is At The End of Block On Same Street As Funeral Home;  Church Entrance At Corner of 158th & Emerald Ave., which is 1 Block North of 159th Street and 1 Block East of Halsted). Interment will take place at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 19500 South Cottage Grove Avenue, Glenwood, IL 60425 at 11:30 AM.

Heidi K. Anselmo’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her — a beacon of love, compassion, and selfless kindness that continues to inspire and comfort. May she rest in eternal peace.
