~ In Loving Memory ~

Harriet G. Rak passed away Sunday, April 19th at the age of 84. Harriet was a lifelong resident of Harvey and the surrounding area. Since her retirement, she had been an active member of St. John the Baptist Church Altar Guild, Golden Agers and PLAV Women's Auxiliary Chapter 39. Harriet enjoyed knitting, sewing and volunteering. Along with the organizations above, she also supported her Ward Alderwoman in any way she could, following in her father's footsteps with her interest and involvement in local politics. Harriet's favorite activity was being a social butterfly. "Bummin" as she called it. Shopping, going out to eat, she was up for anything! Harriet is survived by her daughter Ann Ortiz (Dameon), sister Bernice Wasso (Dan) and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends whom she loved and loved her in return. Harriet will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
