Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Dominick John Ward, who was taken from us too soon at the age of 34 years old. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Dom had a smile that could light up a room. He loved strongly and felt deeply.  He prided himself on his appearance. He loved a fresh fade from the barbershop and to pair a crisp jumpsuit and a fresh pair of Nike's. He loved to share a good meal with his family and friends. He loved his "little squad" more than life itself. The boys loved all the adventures they shared with their Dad from bike rides to park adventures to playing PokeMon together and building Legos and Nerf gun wars.

He grew up with a passion for fishing, boating and exploring the great outdoors which followed him into adulthood. His Stepdad Dave cultivated this love for nature and Dominick was grateful for the many memories he created with his family.  He would often would reminisce about the summer vacations to Indiana Beach where they rented a cabin on the lake and spent countless hours on the water. Christmas was a special holiday for Dom, as he loved the snow and frigid temperatures. He loved waking up on Christmas morning and finding presents piled from floor to ceiling. His mother always made sure that the holidays were extra special for her children. Dominick ate like a King on Thanksgiving and always had leftovers for days to come. Denise fought hard to give her children everything they needed no matter the sacrifice. She continued to display this unconditional love for Dom throughout his adult life. Despite the complexities of life, Dominick was always a listening ear and shoulder to cry on for his loved ones. He loved his sisters deeply and protected them fiercely. They each offered a unique perspective on life which brought immense joy and value to Dominick's life. The relationship between Dominick and Darien was the true definition of brotherhood. Darien looked up to his big brother. They could make light of any situation thrown their way by always sharing a good laugh together.

Dom worked hard aside his brother and father to support and grow the family business year after year. John pushed Dom toward positivity, resilience, and taught him the value of hard work. He encouraged him to expand his education by always challenging his intellect. They often spent long nights awake together deep in conversation.

Loved and missed by his father, John Ward, his mother, Denise Stone, and his step father, David Hulsman. Loving brother to Danielle (Mario), Jamie, Darien (Jessica) and Dylan Ward. Devoted father to Dominick Jr. and Benjamin Ward.  Survived by his Grand mother, Aunts and Uncles, cousins, nephews and all those who knew and loved him.
